Hi! We are Aneela + Sameer. In 2010, we got married! In 2011 we moved to Minneapolis from NYC and, despite knowing only 4 people when we got here, we fell in love all over again! 

Here, we found a culture deeply rooted in service, creativity and problem solving. Here, we found our life’s work as impact entrepreneurs and here, we found our village.

BUT we know that parenting and building strong relationships is hard.

That’s why we started myHappyCamper. We want to help families like yours “Build the Village One Happy Camper at a Time.”

We're starting with summer camp scheduled because with a 10 year old and a 6 year old, we know the pain of it. (Don’t get me started on the YMCA Registration Debacle of 2023!...or Covid Summer of 2020 – all that planning, spending and registering in January down the drain!) 

Luckily, as experienced and award-winning MN entrepreneurs, we also know technology. 

The goal of myHappyCamper is to:

• quickly find the camps that are in your family’s consideration set,
• easily plan your summer
• build your village by coordinating schedules with your family friends.

No kid wants to be the “new kid” every week. With myHappyCamper, you can ensure your kids feel comfortable on arrival so they can focus on what they do best: PLAY (and learn)!

Both Sameer and I are children of immigrant parents. Our parents came to the U.S. in the 1970s with very little money and very few things (picture 1 suitcase!).

Like us moving to Minneapolis, our parents didn’t know many people on arrival. They built their village and while we didn’t have family nearby growing up, our friends became our family!

We’re stoked to bring myHappyCamper to you because we know this movement goes beyond scheduling summer camp – it’s really about building solid, lifelong friendships for your kids AND for you as parents.
